The Rivershack Tavern is the de-facto standard to get your dose of local, live new orleans music ….. right outside New Orleans. We “serve it up” almost every other night. Just look at our Live Music Calendar to see what is coming up.
First let me talk about the word Zesty. According to dictionary.com, zest means to “relish” or have “hearty enjoyment” of something. It also means “an agreeable flavor” and anything “added to impart flavor” and “enhance one’s appreciation” of something. BAM! We like that definition, because that is what the Rivershack is all about, folks! Our live music is Zesty, and so is our food. Just look at our Menu.
I’m sure you can understand how we might describe our menu as zesty, but do you think there is a problem calling music Zesty? Hell, no there isn’t! Let me explain. Have you ever been in a room with someone playing blues guitar? Try to remember. Think about it. Think of the guitarist’s fingers plucking string after string, electrical signals emitting from the instrument, running down the wire and into the amplifier and filling the room with a sound so unbelievable you probably have forgotten about the mortgage payment, car note and all the other stuff in your life besides that sound you are now hearing.
THAT is what we mean by Zesty New Orleans live music, folks. It certainly is “agreeable” and mentally full of “flavor.” We certainly want to “enhance your appreciation” of live music, so come on down any time to the Shack, and find out what Zest is really about.
